Welcome to the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce E-Newsletter: April 2010 Edition. Hopefully you had a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day and March Break. We have many exciting events and shows this month! On April 17th we have the 16th Annual Business Awards featuring Non-Member categories alongside our valued Member categories. In less than a week later there will be the April After Business at Recreation World happening on the 21st and exactly one week later is the first ever Prosperity Northwest: Business to Business show on Wednesday, April 28th at the Valhalla Inn. We are looking forward to a busy month here at the Chamber.

Nancy Milani Certifiably Excels
On Wednesday, February 17, 2010 the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce’s Show Manager, Nancy Milani, graduated from the prestigious International Association of Expositions and Events (IAEE) program of Exhibition Management in Mississauga, Ontario. Amongst her graduating class of only 7 students, Nancy has joined the select body of only 31 Certified Exhibition Managers in all of Canada.

Save the Date - Annual Chamber Golf Classic
The 25th Annual Chamber Golf Classic, proudly sponsored by TBayTel is taking place on Thursday August 19, 2010 at the Whitewater Golf Club. The Chamber's "FUN" tournament is a great day of networking that this year includes 9 holes of golf and a cart, lunch, dinner, contests and prizes. You can enter as a foursome or as an individual and you don't have to be a great golfer to have a great time.

TBCC High School Scholarships
High School Scholarships are being offered again in 2010. All candidates must be Secondary School graduates from Thunder Bay who are planning to attend a Post-Secondary Institution in Thunder Bay in the following school year in a business-related program. Applications will be available at all the high schools and in the Chamber office.
