| As the self-proclaimed new kid on the block, Blaze Fireplace and Stone seem to be fitting in to the Thunder Bay neighbourhood just fine since they opened for business in June. “I have been promoting and selling fireplaces and stone products for the last eleven years and the decision to go on my own was a leap of faith, but I’m glad that I took it,” shares owner Gary Marton.
Blaze Fireplace and Stone specialize in decorative stone and fireplaces but also offer complete installation including framing, installation of the mantle, drywall and finishing. They can also help choose the stone to complement it.

Gary says that decorative stone has come a long way in recent years and is very popular with builders because it is lightweight and authentic looking.
The stone may be used for finishing around a fireplace, a feature wall or as an exterior application. Blaze carries lines from Eldorado Stone, Boulder Creek, St. Croix Stone and Stonecraft.
The showroom features several wood and gas burning fireplaces on display with something to suit every taste from traditional and rustic, to sleek and modern. There are also rough-wood mantles built in-house and many stone samples in a variety of finishes.
